Nar Phu Valley trek
Seeking a rural respite in beautiful place of Nepal? Nar Phu valley trek is a delightful trip to the unexplored vicinity of Annapurna region via rugged, wild and off beaten path. Nar Phu is a remote village located at the north of Manang valley untouched and bypassed by modern facilities over centuries. It comprises several landscapes and village similar to Tibetan plateau- less rainy, more barren, arid and unique cultural houses. The valley is opened for foreigner in 2003 but only with special trekking permit. Majority of Nar Phu valley is dominated by Buddhist; however the trail offers several Hindu hamlets at the starting point of the trek. Nar Phu valley is an ancient trading route of Nepal and Tibet. Although, the main profession of village is farming, currently people of Nar Phu are attracted towards Yarsha Gumba trading.
Nar Phu valley trek follows the main trail of Annapurna Circuit trek and divert from Koto to follow rugged trail to Narphu valley. The trail follows the route of Dharmashala via dense forest and finally reached Phu Gau. Phu Gau is rest point where you get acclimatize and interact local people and explore villages. The trail passes Kang La Pass that serves the shadow of astounding Annapurna range. The Phu trail finally advances towards Nar crossing gazing settlements and bridge.
Since, Nar Phu valley trek is a hidden mountain valley trekking, it offers medieval Tibetan culture in pristine form, magical mountain vistas and highland panorama basically cutoff from rest of the world. Narphu valley trek is suitable those who are moderately fit and seeks to experience the unique mixture of cultural exploration, adventurous highland trail and stunning Himalayan panorama.
