Annapurna Base Camp Trek
Annapurna Base Camp trek is a classical trek that takes you to the footage of massif Annapurna through most spectacular and exiting trekking trail stretching from Mashyangdi to the east and Kaligandaki to the west. You can encounter very few treks that combine so many landscapes and bring you so close to 8000m peak in such a short time as Annapurna base camp trek. Mount Annapurna is tenth highest peak of world and stands toweringly at an elevation of 8,091m. The trail follows the terraced rice paddies, rhododendron forest, cultural hamlets backed up astounding Annapurna mountain range most of the time.
Nestled at an altitude of 4,130m, Annapurna base camp offers incredibly spectacular scenery that is set amidst of the majestic peak Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna South (7319m), Machauchhre (6993m) and Hiunchuli (6441m). Like other trail in Annapurna region, the trekking trail to Annapurna base camp instigates from Pokhara and passes several cascades waterfalls, beautiful villages, mountain vistas, rhododendron forest and terraced farmlands before completing a journey to base camp. The 12 days itinerary package starts Nayapul (about 2 hours drive from Pokhara) and goes north to Ghorepani and ascends Poonhill view point. The trek diverts east from Ghorepani all the way to Chomrong and follows the Modi Khola that leads up to Annapurna base camp.
The accommodation in Annapurna region is luxurious that offers extensive menus ranging from typical Nepali cuisines to Chinese dishes and some variety of Italian cuisine too. Hot showers are available in maximum teahouse of trail route. Annapurna can be done independently but demands moderate level of physical fitness. This trek is possible to conduct throughout the year; however spring and autumn are the best seasons for trekking in Annapurna base camp. If you are planning to trek in winter, it is important to check the availability of lodge because maximum lodge remain close due to heavy snow fall and freezing cold.

Day 03: Flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara (900m) – 25 min
Day 04: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul – 1.5 hours and trek to Ghandruk (1,950m) – 5/6 hours
Day 05: Trek from Ghandruk to Chhomrong (2,210m) – 10 km – 5/6 hours
Day 06: Trek from Chhomrong to Himalaya Hotel (2,920m) – 6/7 hours
Day 07: Trek from Himalaya Hotel to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m) – 6/7 hours
Day 08: Trek from Annapurna Base Camp to Sinuwa (2,360m) – 6/7 hours
Day 09: Trek from Sinuwa to Jhinu Danda (1,780m) and all the way to Landruk (1,565m) – 6/7 hrs
Day 10: Trek from Landruk to Phedi and drive to Pokhara – 5/6 hours trek and 40 min drive
Day 11: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu by Tourist Bus – 6/7 km
